Imagine what you could do for God if you had no time or money limitations…
Listen to the Bible being read.
Memorize key verse and theme from each book of the Bible.
Memorize 23rd Psalm and the Lord’s Prayer.
Study a book of the Bible until you feel you’ve mastered it.
Study the Gospel – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. How are they similar and how are they different? Why did God give us four books with the same story?
Study a person in the Bible you admire.
Write a letter to God praising Him for how you are made – your heart, your mind and your soul.
Sing to the Lord; pay close attention to your words.
Every day for a week, list the times during the day when you suspect you disappointed God. Consciously try to shorten the list as the days progress.
Share a temptation with a trusted friend making yourself accountable to overcome.
Take a walk alone and pray aloud to God.
Write a prayer for the children in your life. Save it for them.
Call a prayer partner daily and talk to God together for five minutes.
Pray aloud in a group.
Read a biography of a faithful witness.
Tape the testimony of an elderly relative encouraging them to tell of how Jesus guided them throughout their life.
Discuss what Jesus has done for each of you as a family over a meal.
Read a Christian book. Talk with a friend about what the author was trying to accomplish – and if God was glorified.
Visit a museum and study a painting with a biblical theme. What does it suggest about God?
Give God a tithe of your time – babysit for a young mother, teach Sunday School, visit the sick, provide a fix for an elderly person…
Teach a preschooler to sing a motion song that says something special about God.
Smile, wave, be courteous, and maybe offer a hug.
Send ten cards to people who need to know they are loved by God and remembered by you.
Express appreciation to those in ministry.
Plan an event in your home. Invite people from your church who are in need – not people you know and enjoy most.
With a friend, visit three churches where Christians worship in different ways. How was God honored? How did He speak to you?
Bake your church’s Communion bread. Pray for church members as you bake.
Go to church ten minutes early and spend time praying that God’s presence will be felt.
Look for a church volunteer or staff member and let them know their gift was noticed.
Save your change and at the end of the year, give it to a Christian organization…
